the Project
The Rediscovery Centre Furniture project is a furniture reuse, recycling and restoration project established 2006 in Ballymun. The project was set up to provide employment and training opportunities, reduce the amount of furniture going to landfill and also to increase environmental awareness in relation to waste prevention, reuse and recycling.

Benefits
As well as providing new homes for furniture otherwise destined for landfill the project provides training and employment experience for people returning to the workplace. Such training includes practical skills in furniture restoration, wood work, upholstery, data collection and customer service.
