Guinness Fund
On April 21st 2010 Rediscover Fashion was announced as one of the ten Arthur Guinness Fund Awardees 2010.
The Arthur Guinness Fund backs people with "a business head and a social heart" this is why over €100,000 will be invested in Rediscover Fashion who's aim is to reduce textile waste and create jobs.
In addition to the funding , expertise and support will be provided through Diageo Ireland support and Social Entrepreneurs Ireland's alumni network, this will help to deliver real and lasting social change.
John Kennedy, Managing Director of Diageo Ireland said "The Arthur Guinness Fund proactively seeks to indentify Ireland's leading social entrepreneurs and is designed as a springboard to enable them to take their initiatives to the next level.
Rediscover Fashion aims to change the way society views recycled clothing and how consumers behave and manage textile waste The funds will be put to good use raising the bar on green products and establisihing a new generatoin of eco-conscious, socially aware consumers.
