Guitar
In 2009 the Rediscovery Centre worked with luthier Emilian Lalev on an exciting project involving the redesign and remanufacture of some of our old wardrobes and other discarded furniture into musical instruments. The results were two beautifully hand-crafted guitars.
Manufacture
First we identified a number of old hardwood items that could be used as raw materials for the instruments.

A mahogony wardrobe was used for the back and sides of this guitar. The body and top was made from slats from an old bed, table legs were reformed into the neck of the guitar and veneers donated from a local school.
