Culture Night is an annual all-island festival that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. This year, for the first time. the Rediscovery Centre is taking part.
The Centre will remain open from 5pm to 9pm on the 22nd of September to host a programme of free tours and events.
Children’s Arts & Crafts
The Rediscovery Centre will run arts & crafts workshops for children from 5pm to 7pm.
Tours
At 7pm the Rediscovery Centre will take a trip back in time! Take a tour of the Boiler House that will showcase the history of this iconic building. Hear what it was like to work at the Boiler House from the people who used to maintain the boilers for the Ballymun flats.
The Rediscovery Centre Team will also show you how the Boiler House was saved from demolition and turned into a centre of excellence for sustainability.
Photography Exhibition
The Rediscovery Centre will be exhibiting photographs of the Boiler House illustrating its history and its transition to a state of the art eco destination.
