Ireland has a textile waste problem that the Community Reuse Network Ireland (CRNI) is trying to solve. CRNI has launched a project that aims to pilot three types of textile collection systems in Ireland to reduce textiles going to landfill. The project looks to bolster the secondhand sector in Ireland by ensuring that more textiles make it to these shops via the collection system while also exploring other business opportunities around the increased amount of collected textiles. Overall, the project aims to create a more circular approach to textiles in Ireland.
