NCAD Green Entrepreneur Camp

Green Enterprise Summer Camps

Posted on 23rd May 2019

This summer the Rediscovery Centre in Collaboration with the National College of Art and Design is hosting two Green Enterprise Summer Camps for secondary students. For the third year running, we are delighted the Green Enterprise Summer Camp will be held at the Rediscovery Centre.  Students will work in groups over five days to develop a business idea that they will pitch in a Dragons’ Den style presentation on the final day.

The programme encompasses a series of workshops, on both theory and practical skills demonstrations. Participants will be introduced to user-centred design research methods and design thinking as well as discussions on current sustainability issues and challenges faced by our society. As part of the  programme the students, working in teams will design a product, process or system which will have a positive impact on the society and the planet. The outputs will be presented to an experienced dragons den, developing confidence,  design and research skills and  building confidence for all students involved.

The programme is funding by the Higher Education Authority and is  free for students who are successfully shortlisted for the programme.
