The EPA has announced a research call for projects aimed at solving environmental and climate problems. There is up to €10.5 million available for these new research projects. The funding will be provided under four different climate and environmental themes: addressing climate change evidence needs, facilitating a green and circular economy, delivering a healthy environment, and protecting and restoring our natural environment. Research proposals are invited in response to 46 research topics that fall under these themes and successful proposals are expected to start in late 2021/early 2022.
