Join Martina Wall for this fun Introduction to Felting Soap workshop. Participants will learn the art of wet felting and they will be able to make colourful and creative designs.
Martina will provide all of the required materials to make four felted soaps during the workshop and participants just need to bring a towel with them. Participants will also be given printed notes so that they can experiment at home.
Felted soap, is soap wrapped up in a cocoon of wool and wet felted using friction and hot water. Participants will be able to make unique designs on their soap and the wool not only acts as an exfoliant but it also helps stop bacteria from forming on the soap. Felting the soap also makes it last up to four times longer. When the soap is finished. the wool can be reused as a dish scrubby or another soap can be popped in (or the wool can be composted as its 100% biodegradable).
