Recently published by the Department of Rural and Community Development, the “Our Rural Future” policy reflects the Irish Government’s ambition for the future of rural Ireland. Amongst its many goals is the revitalization of rural towns and villages, and the transition to a carbon neutral society. While the central goal of the “Our Rural Future” policy might not be circular, there are many circular opportunities peppered throughout. From jobs, education and skills, to ensuring a just transition to a more sustainable country.
