New Virtual Sustainability Workshops for Children and Young Adults
The Rediscovery Centre has launched a new range of online workshops for children and young adults
The Rediscovery Centre has created a new suite of virtual workshops that have been specifically developed for children and young adults. These 90 minute workshops have been designed to help build an understanding of climate change, sustainable design and science-based subjects. These workshops will be delivered online by a trained Rediscovery Centre facilitator and each attendee is given a list of easily found household items that can be used during the workshop.
These unique workshops have been created by a dedicated education team within the Rediscovery Centre, that specialises in educational content for children and young adults. These interactive workshops have been developed by the team to be fun, educational and creative. The Rediscovery Centre is an accredited Discover Primary Science and Maths centre and content is aligned to the national curriculum. They are perfect for schools, libraries, youth groups and community groups.
Sarah Clear, Education Manager at the Rediscovery Centre, said “These online workshops have been created in response to the demand that we have received from libraries, community groups and youth groups. These groups have asked us to adapt some of our most popular workshops so that we can deliver them online to their users. Each workshop has been developed with the children and young adults in mind. They are fully interactive, fun and everyone will leave the workshop having learnt something new.”
These workshops are delivered via Zoom and are highly interactive to ensure that each participant gets involved. In response to covid 19 and public demand, the Rediscovery Centre has created several online workshops which are available to book on the website www.rediscoverycentre.
