The Relove Fashion Competition is a sustainable fashion competition that was developed in response to the growing concerns around the environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry and the need for positive change. It encourages applicants to take a deeper look at how their clothing is made and challenges them to explore creative reuse options including upcycling, repair, alterations and mending. All applicants create an outfit by repurposing and re-imagining unwanted/pre-loved/second-hand garments and textiles, exploring their creativity, developing new designs and creating a storyboard to document their upcycling journey.
