College student, Ryan Schlotthauer, has designed a build-at-home IKEA concept car called the “Höga.” The car is only 2.3 meters long and 1.8 meters high, uses a skateboard platform to hold its four wheels and is battery powered. The inside of the car is customizable, making it capable of fitting passengers or luggage or even a small bike. Additionally, the car was designed with circularity in mind, as the vehicle’s parts can be recycled into other products. As incredible as it sounds, the “Höga’s” minimalist design leaves something to be desired in terms of road safety, but it is an exciting foray into circularly designed cars, nonetheless.
