ECCO Kicks Off for 2024/25
A huge milestone for ECCO!
We are thrilled to welcome 55 new participants to the ECCO programme across four communities, in partnership with EDI Centre Longford, Tait House Community Enterprise, and Roscommon Women’s Network. The energy and interest around this year’s Community Training Programme has been incredible!
The kickoff orientation day took place in late November for our new group and Community of Practice. Our goal for this day was simple: to prepare the ground for circular economy training and project support by building social connections and creating a safe, open space for participants to exchange stories, ideas, and inspiration.
Highlights included:
- A tour of the repurposed Ballymun Boiler House and the fascinating history of the Rediscovery Centre, Ireland’s National Centre of the Circular Economy.
- A delicious lunch prepared in-house by our chefs using surplus ingredients, reinforcing our mission to stop food waste.
- An interactive “Active Hope” workshop led by Anna Swisher and Roisin Dexter, where participants shared experiences, values, and their collective purpose, sparking deep connections within the group.
We’re just getting started—stay tuned for updates on the programme’s exciting activities and schedule!
