Paint Giveaway Now Open!

Bring Colour to Your Community this Spring with a Sustainable Paint Giveaway
Led by the Rediscovery Centre, the Paint Reuse Network is excited to bring back the Colour to Communities Giveaway, offering communities across Ireland the chance to win up to 100 litres of high-quality, reused paint to brighten their local spaces.
The competition is open to schools, charities, social enterprises, and community groups with creative ideas to give their areas a fresh, vibrant look while promoting sustainability. Three winners – one from each of Ireland’s National Waste Regions – will receive up to 100 litres of free water-based paint to bring their projects to life.
Previous winners have transformed their community spaces with biodiversity murals, refreshed school walls, and collaborative paint projects.
Dave Kavanagh, Rediscover Paint Programme Manager said “We have seen first hand the difference paint can make to a community. A splash of colour can do more than just transform a space – it can bring people together, boost community pride, and create a more welcoming environment. Whether it’s a vibrant mural, a refreshed community centre, or a colourful public seating area, paint has the power to uplift and inspire.”
How to Enter
Submit a short description of your proposed community painting project by the 8 May 2025. Winners will be announced by the end of May!

About the Paint Reuse Network
The Paint Reuse Network is a membership-based organisation dedicated to reducing paint waste in Ireland. Led by the Rediscovery Centre and supported by Ireland’s Regional Waste Management Planning Offices, the network brings together groups and organisations involved in paint reuse with a shared vision to give paint a second life.
We support paint reuse through knowledge sharing, best practice guidance, and facilitating connections between members. We also advocate for changes in how households and businesses manage unused paint, increasing public awareness of its potential for reuse and redistribution for the benefit of local communities and the environment.
The network has members across Ireland, including: The Rediscovery Centre, Cycle Sense, IRD Duhallow Furniture Revamp, Renew Enterprises, Tait House Community Enterprise, Revamp Longford, Northside Community Enterprises, Bryson Recycling, and Habitat Restore.
