We saw something absolutely magical this week.

Just as our Team wrapped up a meeting, we noticed something unusual at our pond. Dragonflies were emerging – crawling up the reeds, transforming from their water-based nymph stage, hatching from their casing and taking flight!

It’s not every day you get to witness this stage of their life cycle, and we felt incredibly lucky to see it unfold.

A beautiful reminder of the hidden worlds in our local gardens – and an unforgettable way to launch Biodiversity Week!

Can you tell how thrilled we are at the end? 👀

What can you do to help biodiversity this week? Small water sources like water dishes or even mini ponds play a crucial role in supporting biodiversity – providing a tiny ecosystem for insects, birds, frogs and other wildlife to live, breed, and drink – especially in urban areas where natural wetlands are often scarce.
