Workshop Overview:
Rediscovery Centre provides a variety of exciting and interactive workshops, suitable for primary and secondary classes, which can be delivered online or in your library. We offer workshops on a variety of STEM and environmental topics. Our experienced and talented educators are Garda vetted, and ensure all participants leave their workshops engaged and inspired!
Workshops are linked to the school curriculum through a variety of subjects including science, geography and maths. Specialised workshops are available for national STEM and environmental awareness weeks and events, e.g. Science Week, Heritage Week, Biodiversity Week, Maths Week, Engineers Week, Waste Reuse Month, etc. We also deliver themed arts and crafts workshops on a seasonal basis, such as Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.
Rediscovery Centre is an accredited Discover Centre under the Science Foundation Ireland Curious Minds programme.
Virtual workshops
In addition to in-person workshops, we offer virtual workshops delivered through the Zoom app, for a live interactive educational experience. The workshops include a talk on the topic, group discussions and games, and hands-on activities and investigations, resulting in an engaging experience for the participants. Participating teachers will be sent workshop resources via email in advance of the workshop.
Additional Needs Groups
We offer workshops for mild to moderate additional needs classes, and can tailor the workshops to suit the specific needs of the group.
