Secondary Level Education Programme
Overview:
Rediscovery Centre offers a wide variety of hands-on and interactive workshops on a variety of STEM and environmental topics. Our workshops are linked to second-level curriculum subjects, including science, geography, maths, CSPE, ESS and art, craft and design. Our talented facilitators are experienced Garda vetted educators who make sure that participants leave our workshops inspired and enthused.
Our workshops are available for schools across the country, and can be delivered in your own classroom, online or at our unique eco-demonstration facility in Ballymun, Dublin. Each workshop features a presentation, a range of interactive activities and a feedback session to encourage the students to share what they have learned throughout the workshop. We can facilitate a maximum of 30 students per workshop.
Rediscovery Centre is an accredited Science Foundation Ireland Discover Centre.
Virtual Workshops
Virtual workshops are delivered through Zoom for a live, interactive, educational experience. They include a presentation on the topic, group discussions and games, as well as hands-on activities and investigations which makes it an engaging experience for everyone. To help you prepare, we send workshop resources to participating teachers in advance of the workshop.
Additional Needs Groups
We offer workshops for mild to moderate additional needs classes, and can tailor the workshops to suit the specific needs of the group.
