Café Supervisor
Meet Amy, who has been part of the Rediscovery Centre team since 2017, when we first moved into the Boiler House.
As the Café Supervisor, Amy plays a key role in ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the café, from setting up each day to creating mouth-watering menu items that keep our customers coming back for more.
Amy is responsible for overseeing the café team, creating new menu items, handling the tills, and crafting delicious food and coffee. She loves experimenting with different recipes and methods, including baking homemade muffins and developing new surplus special items. Amy’s favourite part of the job is the people she works with, the close café team as well as the Centre which is full of craic and creativity!
In addition to her extensive hands-on experience, Amy has completed several courses in areas such as first aid, child protection, health and safety, barista skills, customer service, and supervisory management. Her dedication to continuous learning and development is evident in the high standards she maintains in the café.
When she’s not at work, Amy enjoys spending quality time with her husband and her lovely puppy, Chapo.
