Mark Dunn

Rediscover Cycling Programme Manager

Mark Dunn

Mark Dunn has been Rediscover Cycling’s programme manager since July 2019. He oversees all aspects of Rediscover Cycling, including managing workspaces, ensuring bike quality control and supervising mechanics and trainees. Mark also leads bike mechanics training, workshops and repair clinics and promotes creativity through upcycled bike-part art and inventions.

With over a decade of experience in the bicycle industry, Mark holds Cytech Technical 1 and eBike qualifications. He previously served as a head trainer for City & Guilds Bike Mechanics Level 2, and has tutored for over 750 hours in certified courses and home-mechanic workshops.

Mark’s passion lies in sustainable design practices, advocating for durable, easily maintainable products. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mark enjoys cycling his 16km round-trip commute through Dublin City and during the summer, exploring the hills while mountain biking. With a background in music, he continues to play guitar and explore artistic avenues like pen and pencil drawing and amateur woodworking. Mark also likes experimenting with growing native plants.
