Sarah Miller
Chief Executive
Meet Sarah Miller, our chief executive of Rediscovery Centre. Sarah is an environmental scientist and business development manager with over 30 years’ professional experience in the UK, Ireland and Australia. Her pioneering work has resulted in the development of numerous wide-ranging public, private and community-based sustainability initiatives from large-scale mechanical and biological waste treatment to experiential education programmes and social enterprise start-ups.
Sarah holds an honours degree in biotechnology, a PhD in environmental science, a master’s degree in business administration and has a keen interest in research and policy. She is involved in several national and EU environmental network and technical committees.
As chief executive of Rediscovery Centre, Sarah has been instrumental in driving Ireland’s progress towards a circular economy, demonstrating social, economic and environmental opportunities and advocating for a just transition. Under her leadership, Rediscovery Centre has gone from strength to strength, providing the evidence and rationale for community action and positive behaviour change. Sarah’s vision on the role of the circular economy to address climate change has been a cornerstone of the centre’s development for almost two decades.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys travelling to explore new cultures and cuisines, and has taken a cooking class in almost every country she has visited. Happily based near the sea, and sometimes in it, Sarah enjoys walking her dog along the beach and spending quality time with her family and friends.
