Make Your Own Bottle Lamp Workshop
Each participant in this intimate workshop can bring an old, empty gin or whiskey bottle and throughout the session, will learn and apply the techniques needed to transform it into a lamp.
Kopper Kreation will provide all the necessary parts, tools, and expertise to help each participant create a beautiful bottle lamp. Participants will also get to choose their favourite cable colour, bulb holder colour, and bulb from a wide selection on the day.
Workshop Outline:
- Emmet will greet participants and explain the process and safety equipment.
- He will demonstrate the techniques and tools used to drill a bottle with a hand drill.
- He will then show how to use a pillar drill to drill the bottle.
- Each participant will drill their own bottle using the pillar drill.
- Emmet will guide participants through assembling the cable and bulb holder.
- He will supervise as each person wires the plug, bulb holder, and dimmer switch in series.
- Each lamp will be electrically tested for safety, followed by a discussion on various bulb options.
- Participants will select their favourite bulb and package their lamp for safe transport home.
- Q&A session for any additional questions.
No experience necessary! Don't forget to bring your own lamp.
